Welcome readers and writers to a community where young fantasy/sci-fi authors can submit, read, and comment on stories about the multi-layered Druidawn universe. Read the published stories in Druidawn Volume I and II. Find quests that accompany a writing motivation role playing game Legends of Druidawn, and participate in our creative writing clubs in Colorado and Illinois.
We also offer writing mentorships and publishing opportunities for young authors and artists. Become a member for this exciting, interactive website where creative students can interact, play games, submit their writing and get feedback on their work.
Druidawn Volume II is now available! Your contribution goes directly to help young authors and artists so that we can continue to pay them professional rates for their work. If you enjoyed the free download of Volume I, please support Druidawn by purchasing Volume II! Visit Druidawn Creations to purchase and download the Druidawn Anthologies!

I wrote this poem when I was angry at the world. It is about How much humans have screwed up Earth
Note: I think you're asking some great questions! |

An Unhappy Experience
Last year I had an unhappy experience in a creative writing class that I took. The first assignment was to write a mystery, and I wrote a murder mystery. I couldn’t wait for everyone to hear my awesome story. In the class, the teacher had everyone take turns reading in a circle. When I finally got my turn to read, the other students seemed to really enjoy my story. I was feeling good about their reactions until the teacher starting complaining that my story was a little too “dark.” She also said I needed some more foreshadowing, and she seemed to really dislike my story. She said, “why did you have to write about such a depressing subject?” I was thinking, “I don’t know how to make a murder mystery filled with shiny happy people.” She seemed completely pleased with all the other stories, which seemed to me as if they were written by first graders. At the end of the class, she informed us that in our next lesson we would make “pop-up” books out of our stories.
Note: Interesting observation. Thanks for sharing! |

I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry for being a waste of space
Sorry for it all
Even though it isn’t my fault
Sorry I met you sorry I cared sorry I knew,
Should I tell should I lie?
Maybe ill just curl into a ball and cry
Do what you’ve done, to me, ever since then
Lied
You told me it was nothing
I asked you again and again
I’ll tell you I’m fine next time you ask
“Are you in pain?”
Because you know it’s like asking
“Hey your bleeding does it hurt?”
I’m not dumb I’m not shallow
I didn’t even know how hallo you were
Guess I see it with the surge
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry it’s my fault for fighting
With you REAL FRIEND
After all she was the one who cracked my ribs and
Broke my jaw but yet it’s still my fault?
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry for it all
Wondering when this is all gonna end
Guess you’ll never know
Because you’ve pushed it to the point
I’m just gonna go
Leave for now leave for good
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
Hell I’m sorry for knowing you at all…

I hope I can make the rest of the parts as long as this. I'll try to expand on the prologue and 1st part later, when I compile them into 1 story. We'll see how it goes.
Note: Great! I can't wait to hear more! |
